The Family Check-Up Collaborative of CT brings Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting to Connecticut for the first time!
Funded through the Office of Early Childhood, Family Check-Up is a free, in-home intervention for families with children ages 2-6. This strength-based model has two phases: 1) the Family Check-Up, which involves an assessment and feedback to best tailor intervention goals meeting the unique strengths and challenges of each family 2) and Everyday Parenting, which provides parents with simple, practical parenting tools focusing on positive behavior support, healthy limit setting, and relationship building.
With more than 30 years of evidence demonstrating strong intervention effects, the Family Check-Up Collaborative is excited to now be offering these services here in CT through Family Centered Services of CT, The Children’s Community Programs of CT, and The New Haven Health Department.
